Shalini Rajan to Represent Gems Education in Paris

The Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert programme was created to recognise global educator visionaries who are using technology to pave the way for their peers in the effective use of technology for better learning and student outcomes.

Over 8,900 educators participated in local contests to be selected to attend E2 2019, held from 2-4 April. E2 allows professionals to come together and explore industry trends, including emerging technologies that support teaching, skills development, modern pedagogies, safe school environments, and predictive analytics that identify at-risk students.

Shalini Rajan, Head of BTech, The Winchester School – Jebel Ali, was the only GEMS Education teacher to be selected to attend. In the run up to her trip, Shalini said: “I hope by the end of the event, I will be confident and inspired to implement all the advanced knowledge and learning I accumulated to my everyday practice in school and share it efficiently to my colleagues across GEMS.”
